RESIDENTS FILE LAWSUIT AFTER CHEMICAL SPILL
A group of Kentucky residents have filed a lawsuit against Nuplex Resins after a chemical spill at one of the company’s plants sent dangerous vapors into a nearby neighborhood on Feb. 4. The lawsuit, which includes about 50 homeowners, claims that the neighborhood has seen dramatic drops in property values since the spill. The lawsuit also argues that residents have lost “the use and enjoyment of their property” and says that some also have suffered health consequences. James Bruggers, Louisville Courier Journal.
