Pfizer/Wyeth Pharmaceuticals to Release 300,000 Prempro Documents
Pfizer unit, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, has agreed to release as many as 300,000 documents related to the development, sales and marketing of the hormone drug Prempro. Pfizer/Wyeth’s decision is in response to concerns that the blockbuster drug could be labeled a public health hazard. Prempro and other hormone replacement drugs generated $1.2 billion in sales for the company in 2008.
