NURSING HOME CHAINS SETTLE KICKBACK LAWSUITS FOR $ 14 MILLION
Two nursing home chains, Mariner Health Care Inc. and SavaSeniorCare Administrative Services of Atlanta, as well as principals Leonard Grunstein, Murray Forman and Rubin Schron, have agreed to settle a False Claims Act lawsuit for $14 million. The lawsuit alleged the companies solicited and accepted kickbacks from Omnicare Pharmacy. Omnicare is the nation’s largest pharmacy specializing in dispensing drugs to pharmacies.
