MEDICARE FRAUD LAWSUIT SETTLED FOR $3.6 MILLION

A $3.6 million settlement has been reached in a lawsuit filed against a California heart monitoring that allegedly defrauded Medicare, Tricare and health insurance carriers contracted through the federal government. National Cardio Labs LLC was accused of submitting “false healthcare claims for cardiac and blood pressure diagnostic testing between January 1998 and February 2004,” the U.S. attorney’s office said in their suit.
