LAWSUIT SAYS HOSPITAL MISCLASSIFIES PATIENTS IN ORDER TO OVERCHARGE THEM
The University Medical Center in Las Vegas has been hit with a class-action lawsuit that claims that the hospital continually designated patients as “trauma patients” in order to overcharge them.

“For years, UMC unlawfully billed and collected from emergency room patients millions of dollars in ‘trauma’ charges when the patients were not trauma patient,” the lawsuit states. The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages.
