LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST AUTO DEALER ALLEGES FALSE AND DECEPTIVE LOAN MODIFICATIONS
The Florida Attorney General’s office has filed a lawsuit against a Fort Lauderdale auto group, claiming that they made false and deceptive claims to customers about automobile loan modifications. The lawsuit claims that the Auto Relief Group claimed in advertisements that they could lower consumers’ car payments by up to 50 percent.
The company has allegedly already collected hundreds of thousands of dollars in upfront fees over these false claims, the suit states. The Palm Beach Post reports the AG’s office is currently locating victims of this scheme.
