IDENTITY THIEF SENTENCED TO PRISON

A former Johns Hopkins Medicine employee, Michelle Courtney Johnson, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison. In addition to prison time,  Ms. Johnson, was ordered to pay over $200,000 in restitution after she  entered a plea agreement for her role in the theft of patients’ personal information.

According to court documents, Ms. Johnson provided at least one other person with names and Social Security numbers of over 100 current and former patients of Johns Hopkins.
