HOW DO I GET MY FREE CREDIT REPORT?
How do I get my free credit report?
The Fair Credit reporting Act (FCRA) is a federal law that gives consumers rights, including the right to a free credit report every 12 months. Consumers may order free reports from the nationwide consumer reporting agencies, including Equifax, Experian and Trans Union, by mail, phone or online. The Adkins Firm recommends consumers order their free credit reports from each of the nationwide consumer reporting agencies by mail using the Free Credit Report Request Form.
Consumers may also order their free credit reports by calling 1-877-322-8228 or online at www.annualcreditreport.com. Your reports should be mailed to you within 15 days. Make sure you request your credit reports from all 3 bureaus. For more information about obtaining a free credit report contact us at 1-800-263-9091 24/7.
After you receive all reports, you should review each review each report for any false information. Consumers should dispute ANY false information to the credit bureaus. For help with credit error disputes contact the Adkins Firm for a free credit report consultation.
