HACKERS STEAL CREDIT AND BANK CARD INFORMATION FROM NEBRASKA RESIDENTS
Sarpy County Sheriff’s deputies in Omaha, Nebraska are investigating an identity theft case that has affected more than fifty victims. The hackers went after personal identifying information using customers credit and debit cards. Investigators believe a data breach at a credit card processor exposed the victims’ information. Some of the victims discovered the identity theft when they viewed their monthly statement and found unauthorized charges on their credit or debit card accounts.
