GEORGIA IDENTITY THEFT CONVICTION
A Georgia man plead guilty to identity theft and fraud. Law enforcement found the man with over 675,000 credit card numbers. The identity thief obtained some of the credit card numbers when he hacked into various business networks.
The identity thief, Rogelio Hackett Jr., 26, plead guilty to one count each of access “device fraud” and “aggravated identity theft.” Law enforcement obtained a search warrant for Hackett’s homes and found hundreds of thousands of credit card numbers. The stolen credit card numbers accounted for a staggering $36 million in fraudulent transactions!
