Consumers have filed a class action lawsuit against Air Tran Airways and Delta Air Lines. The class action lawsuit alleges the airlines agreed to charge customers first bag fees and coordinated capacity cuts in Atlanta to support the increases in prices.
The class action lawsuit also alleges Air Tran and Delta conspired together to raise prices. The class action lawsuit seeks treble damages.
