California Insureds Files Class Action Over Rate Hike
According to the San Francisco Chronicle. a consumer group, Consumer Watchdog, has filed a class action lawsuit against Anthem Blue Cross for raising deductible and offering lower benefits. The lawsuit alleges Anthem is violating California state law when it fails to offer policy holder comparable coverage and minimize rate hikes after the company directs customers to alternative plans when closing existing pans.
