BP SHAREHOLDER LAWSUIT
In the wake of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, a shareholder lawsuit has been filed by a Pennsylvania woman against British Petroleum executive Anthony B. Hayward. The lawsuit accuses Hayward and other top BP executives of “cutting costs at the expense of safety and lobbying government officials to slash safety regulations.” The suit also claims that BP officials have a history of ignoring safety regulations.
