JUDGE ASKS NJ JUDICIARY TO CONSOLIDATE LAWSUITS
A NJ judge has asked the state judiciary to consolidate a number of lawsuits against Bayer, the manufacturer of the oral contraceptive Yaz, as a mass tort action. The plaintiffs claim Yaz causes health problems including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism. As many as 1,000 cases could be filed against Bayer soon with similar claims.
