MT. OLIVE MAN ON THE RUN – CHARGED WITH ID THEFT

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has issued a be on the lookout for a Mt. Olive, Alabama man.  According to the identity theft charges, Steven Harrison Coleman assumed the identity of a man incarcerated in a criminal mental facility in Mississippi.  Coleman is wanted by the Sheriff’s Office Identity Theft Unit.  The charges against Coleman include criminal possession of a forged instrument and for taking and using the identity of a former family member.

According to the authorities, Coleman has two vehicles registered in the identity theft victim’s name. He also obtained an Alabama driver license and an Alabama state identification card by pretending to be the victim.

Coleman is described by the sheriff’s office as a white male, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds. There is a $10,000 bond on him.
